Milla Jovovich has explained the reasoning behind her baby daughter's unusual name - Ever Gabo. The model, actress and designer gave birth to her first child by her filmmaker fiancé, Paul Anderson, last month. She wrote on her blog: "the name Ever is a Scottish boy's name, Paul has Scottish blood in him - not to mention two tartans in his family! - so we wanted to give her a name that reflected her "celtic" roots, while her middle name Gabo - pronounced "Gabeau"- is a mixture of my parents names! The first two letters are after my mom's first name, Galina and the last two letters are after my dad's first name Bogie!"

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden threw a baby shower for 100 new and expectant mothers yesterday at the Hollywood branch of the Los Angeles Free Clinic to celebrate the launch of the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation. The couple gave their guests $200,000 worth of baby goodies including cribs, toys, bottles and clothing. Nicole, who is expecting her first baby with the Good Charlotte frontman next month said, “The looks on their faces were priceless. Some of them didn't even believe us. They thought we were joking…It's not just us giving to them. They have something that they can give me as well - and that's just a woman talking to another woman about pregnancy, about being a new mom."  Joel added, "We never really get the opportunity to share our lives on a real level with the other young couples that are going through the same thing as us.”

Amy Winehouse's representatives are insisting that there is a reasonable explanation for the recent shocking photos that showed the singer wandering the streets barefoot, looking dazed and wearing only jeans and a bra. The troubled singer's spokesperson said, "She was not on an all-night bender," and explained that Amy was sleeping at a friend's house when: "She heard all these noises, and she went outside to look and there were all these photographers. She'd been sound asleep, and then there were all these photographers – of course she looked startled. In light of recent reports, it's easy to make false assumptions, but she's getting better and she needs the space to do that."

Britney Spears narrowly missed being replaced on the set of her own music video by a younger rival, according to US reports. The troubled singer was set to film a $500,000 video for her new single, Pieces Of Me, but failed to show up on the day of shooting. An industry insider revealed, "Jive hired Wayne Isham to direct, had all the dancers there - hair, makeup and everything. But she refused to come. Jive was really upset. They were already paying everyone overtime, and finally Britney showed up 12 hours late - but only after they told her they were going to give the video shoot to another Jive artist, Samantha Jade... Britney finally showed up when she realized a new, younger, hotter girl would take her slot."

Scarlett Johansson has denied claims made in an American magazine that she has had plastic surgery on her nose and is threatening to take legal action. The Lost In Translation star released a statement that read: "I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead.” Her spokesperson added, "there simply is no truth to the story."
